On April 28, 2026, the Turkmenistan-China Business Forum and Exhibition opened at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This large-scale event brought together representatives of over 200 Chinese business entities in the Turkmen capital.
The Turkmenistan-China Business Forum and Exhibition became an effective platform for showcasing the industrial and export potential of the friendly country and developing promising areas of mutually beneficial relations.
Early in the morning, cultural workers and artists greeted guests with songs and musical performances in the square in front of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries, industry agencies, public organizations, media outlets, heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan.
Those gathered listened with great attention to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's congratulatory message to the participants of the Turkmen-Chinese Business Forum and Exhibition, which noted that today, bilateral relations, based on the principles of mutual respect, friendship, and consideration of each other's interests, are actively expanding in various fields.
Then, the event participants headed to the exhibition site. There, guests were shown videos highlighting the main areas of dynamically developing Turkmen-Chinese cooperation in recent years.
More than 70 stands located throughout the expansive exhibition center showcase China's multifaceted creative and innovative capabilities.
A number of companies are presenting services related to the textile industry, construction and installation, greenhouses, and water management facilities. Exhibitors also include manufacturers of agricultural machinery operating using smart technologies, fiber-optic cables, high-yielding seeds for various crops that quickly adapt to the environment, and veterinary drugs. Several booths provide information on the existing potential for cooperation in the production of various medicines and vaccines.
Scientific and educational spheres are an integral part of the Turkmen-Chinese partnership. Thousands of Turkmen students are currently studying in the friendly country. The exhibition provides essential information about educational institutions for young people wishing to study in China.
The exhibition included bilateral meetings between the heads of Turkmenistan's fuel and energy, agricultural, financial and economic, trade, construction, transport and communications sectors, relevant ministries, and industry departments with representatives of major Chinese companies. During these meetings, a mutual commitment to the comprehensive development of effective cooperation in areas of mutual interest was reaffirmed.
Key areas for the further development of trade between Turkmenistan and China will be discussed in detail during the Turkmen-Chinese Business Forum, scheduled for the second day of the exhibition. The forum and exhibition, designed to become a vibrant symbol of friendship and partnership between the two countries, will conclude on April 30.
